Linden Lab sends out word about a "Winterfest Wreath Competition," sponsored by Xstreet SL to benefit the micro-lending nonprofit Kiva.org. Second Life residents are invited to create and submit virtual holiday wreaths, which will be judged by folks from Linden Lab and Kiva. The winning entries will be offered for sale on Xstreet with all the proceeds to benefit Kiva.
For those that don't know Kiva, they are a great charity that supports direct micro-lending straight to entrepreneurs from around the world who are working to get out of poverty. It's a really innovative model for poverty alleviation that is well worth supporting.

Impartial judges from KIVA and Linden Lab’s Commerce Team will review all submitted wreaths before selecting six (6) winners. These winning entries will be offered for sale via Kiva's Xstreet SL account. 100% of each Winterfest Wreath sold will benefit KIVA directly. Winners of the wreath design contest will receive recognition and appropriate branding in promotional messages of the Winterfest Wreaths.
All wreaths entered into the competition will be displayed on Winterfest event sims, so that everyone may have a chance to view the amazing designs from Residents from around the world. And, all content creators who correctly submit wreaths will be recognized in a forthcoming blog post.
