Linden Lab on their blog announced today that they are launching, for a limited period starting August 15, an "Academic Showcase" to highlight "interactive learning exhibits, online education events, and other academic pursuits in Second Life." Just in time for the start of the academic calendar. These are intended to be specific learning projects, as opposed to ongoing educational places and sims, which you can find on their "learning" destination page.
To submit your academic project (which does not have to be with a formal university or college), fill out this online form. Starting on August 15, the Academic Showcase will be available on Secondlife.com and via the Destination Guide in-world. That's in just 10 days, so better get cracking!
